Origin of the 29 Crib Board

I will come clean and tell you that I do personally know the origin.

The board was made by a Mr. Hirst ( John I believe ) in Burnaby B.C. Canada.
We delivered heating oil to his residence. He was a victim of Polio but that did not stop him, he designed and made the jigs to produce them from his wheelchair in his basement. The original boards were a solid laminated plywood about 1 1/8" thick. I had one of the original boards that Mr Hirst gave my Father for helping him market the boards but was lent out without my permission and never got it back. I do have a ship model in a liquor bottle that he made. Unfortunately Mr. Hirst passed away from his illness and his wife sold the patents.
